Articulate the challenges in demographics, finances and human suffering faced by our society at life’s end.

Define palliative care and relate it to hospice, ethics consultation, and pain management.

Explain how palliative care services can meet patient and family preferences at end of life (EOL) and remedy EOL treatment deficits.

Instructions for CPR Blitz
1.  Register on NetLearning.
2.  Enroll in and complete the Healthcare Provider Recertification CBLs prior to attending.  Bring transcript to the Blitz.
3.  Bring current CPR card.
4.  Complete written test at CPR Blitz site.
5.  Arrive prepared to demonstrate CPR skills.
6.  Demonstration or remediation of skills will not be provided.

*This is for RECERTIFICATION only.  Participant’s Healthcare Provider card must NOT be expired.*

The Department of Education and Professional Development offers a variety of workshops and educational programs throughout the year. Continuing nursing education credit will be available for most programs.

Course Objective:

1.  Discuss the problem of peer to peer hostility and its prevalence in the field of nursing. 

2.  Explain why healthcare workers experience uncaring behaviors from their peers.

3.  Describe actions that when implemented can build a culture of healthy relationships and/or decrease horizontal hostility in the workplace



Hendrick Medical Center will award 1.5 hour2 continuing education credit for nurses attending this program in its entirety.
