Hendrick offers a variety of affordable benefits to our employees and their families. All full-time employees are eligible for benefits coverage the first day of the month following three months of employment. Benefits are subject to change at the discretion of Hendrick Medical Center and its affiliates.

Basic Group Life Insurance
Premiums are paid for the employee by HHS for term life insurance at the value of one and one-half times the employee's annual base salary. This benefit also includes coverage for accidental death and dismemberment.

Paid Time Off

Paid Time Off (PTO) is a flexible benefit plan combining traditional days off such as vacation, holidays and sick time into one program.  All employees classified as full-time who have completed 90 days of continuous employment are eligible for PTO.

Extended Illness Bank
Upon accrual, employees may access their Extended Illness Bank (EIB) for personal illness or injury, or family illness after 16 consecutively scheduled work hours missed.  Access is immediate upon personal hospitalization, outpatient surgery or maternity leave.  Hours are accrued based on tenure and hours worked per pay period.  The accrual schedule is as follows:
