HERO
HERO stands for Hendrick Equine Rehabilitation Opportunities (hippotherapy). The term hippotherapy means treatment with the help of the horse. Specially-trained therapists use the therapeutic treatment for clients with cognitive, physical and emotional disabilities. Therapists use the movement of the horse as a means to create more normal movements in the patient. It develops balance, strength, endurance and coordination. This program is not just for children but also can be beneficial to adults.
