Can I transfer credit into or from other radiography programs?
Because of the wide variety of program types and curriculum sequences, it is difficult, if not impossible, to transfer credit. Such requests are decided on a case-by-case basis.
What does the pre-entrance test consist of?
The test includes the following:
Spelling- 50 questions
Math- 40 test questions, approximately eighth grade level
General science- 50 test questions
Reading Comprehension- 10 questions from a directed reading
All questions are multiple choice.
Can I work while going to school?
Most of our students work part time while going to school. The course work is college level and the amount of time required is substantial. It is an individual decision, but our recommendation is not to work, if you can manage it.
What does orientation consist of?
During orientation we will inform you of policies and procedures in a way that will give you a good idea of what the program is like. You will have an opportunity to ask questions.
Why don't you accept more students?
The program accepts only the number of students who can be adequately supervised by technical staff.
What is a typical school schedule?
Typically, students are at school from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday. One day of the week is dedicated to classroom instruction. On the other four days, students are in the clinical setting.
Why the need for high school transcript?
To apply for employment at Hendrick Medical Center, a high school diploma or GED is required.
Why test and interview?
An objective method of reducing the number of interviews is necessary. By scoring the application and test, applicants make the first cut solely upon their own merit. The interview score is then added to the other scores to make the selection.
