Auxiliary

Formed in 1958, the mission of the Auxiliary is to assist the medical center in promoting  the health and welfare of our community and the surrounding area.  Hendrick volunteers make up the membership of the Auxiliary.

During the year, in addition to volunteers who are seen working throughout the center, the Hendrick Medical Center Auxiliary participates in special events and activities:

• Children’s Miracle Network
• Hospice “Light Up a Life” tree
• Holiday decorations
• Receptions for graduates of Hendrick affiliated schools
• Luncheons and general meetings
• Fundraisers

Financial Contributions include:

• Pledge of $1 million toward the construction of the Waters Trauma Center
• Medical equipment for  the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Trauma Center and CCU
• Gift of $800,000 toward the construction of Auxiliary Conference Center
• Annual contribution of $30,000 to CMN
• Gift of $20,000 toward the construction of the Hendrick League House
• Gift of $125,000 for the Hendrick Center for Rehabilitation
• Annual contribution of $30,000 to the Hendrick Friendship House
• Pledge of $1 million to Project 2010
• Annual contribution of $1000 to the Hendrick Bible Ministry

Funds are made available through:

• Profits from The Gift Shop at Hendrick
• Special fundraisers including jewelry, perfume, books and scrubs
• Profits from the First Perk Coffee Café
