Your Bill
When you have an inpatient admission or an outpatient service at Hendrick Medical Center, it takes 7 to 10 days for all charges to be added to the account and for billing to occur.

Information Regarding Estimates
- Requests for an estimate of charges will be replied to within 10 business days upon receipt of request
- Request for an estimate of charges may result in a delay in the scheduling and provision of your inpatient admission, outpatient surgical procedure or other service.
- The actual charges for an inpatient admission, outpatient surgical procedure, or other service will vary based on your medical condition and other factors associated with performance of the procedure or service
- The actual charges for an inpatient admission, outpatient surgical procedure, or other service may differ from the amount to be paid by you or your third-party payor.
- You may be personally liable for payment for the inpatient admission, outpatient surgical procedure, or other service depending on your health benefit plan coverage
- You should contact your health benefit plan for accurate information regarding the plan structure, benefit coverage, deductibles, co-payments, coinsurance, and other plan provisions that may impact your liability for your inpatient admission, outpatient surgical procedure, or other service
Insurance
Hendrick Medical Center files all types of insurance, including FIRSTCARE and Medicaid. Hendrick also is a contracted TRICARE Prime facility. It generally takes 30-45 days for us to receive payment from the insurance company. If you have not received word from your insurance company at the end of 90 days, please give us a call. If your insurance has not paid us at the end of 120 days, we will pass the balance of the visit to you.
If you get a bill and we have not filed your insurance, please contact us. Billing statments go out approximately every 30 days. An itemized statement of charges will provided upon request. Please allow 5-10 business days for delivery.

If you are not covered by health insurance, you may be eligible for Medicaid. Hendrick Medical Center provides an on-site representative if you are interested in applying for Medicaid. You may contact Hendrick Medical Center at 325.670.4160 to find out if you are eligible.
Uninsured Discounts
If you are uninsured you will receive a 35% discount. You can earn a 50% discount by paying your bill in advance or as soon as you receive the first statement before the end of 30 days.
Payment Options
We accept cash, checks and all major credit cards. Payment can be made in person at the office on the corner of Hickory and Amber, at any of the admissions areas or pay online.
If you are unable to pay your bill in full, whether you are paying your patient portion after insurance or you are uninsured, we ask that you please call 325-670-4160 to speak to a financial counselor about resource assistance.
Any personal overpayments will be refunded with in 30 days.
