Inpatient Unit
Hendrick Medical Center provides comprehensive inpatient oncology services to cancer patients. Our 28-bed oncology unit includes two rooms dedicated to the administration of low dose radiation brachytherapy. Each room is private and designed to provide a comforting atmosphere for patients and their families.
The inpatient unit is committed to providing the best cancer care to the community. Our compassionate and skilled nurses and ancillary employees are strong pillars of support for our patients and their families through our continuum of cancer care. Nurses provide care for the needs of patients receiving radiation therapy, complex chemotherapy and pain and symptom management.
An inter-disciplinary team coordinates care of cancer patients and families based on their unique needs. The team consists of leading oncologists, nurses, dieticians, social workers, case managers, chaplains, physical and occupational therapists and oncology nurse specialists.
