Social Services at Hendrick Cancer Center are available to all patients and families, connecting them to a variety of services to help cope with the effects of cancer. Hendrick Cancer Center provides various social services designed to facilitate decision-making, link patients to community resources and provide emotional support to patients and their families. Social workers are eager to assist with challenges such as financial concerns, medication costs, coping difficulties, obstacles to independence, transportation complications and other complexities. Whether there is an identified necessity or a patient request, social services at Hendrick Cancer Center is available to meet your individual needs.
Numerous resources are available to assist patients and families dealing with cancer:
Cancer Services Network, Inc., is a local non-profit agency that provides financial and emotional assistance to undeserved patients in a 19-county area of Central West Texas. Cancer Services Network can help pay for prescriptions, assist with transportation needs and provide food supplements and emergency funding. A Call for Help provides assistance regarding community resources in the 19 counties of West Central Texas. Calls are answered 24 hours a day, seven days a week at 325.673.8211.
