American Diabetes Association Recognized Program

The ADA (ADA) promotes quality education for people with diabetes. The Association endorses National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs. Education and training are conducted in a small group setting with you and a family member. Most insurance and Medicare will cover recognized programs.

A physician’s order is required for program attendance and to bill your insurance. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to determine if these classes are covered. Payment of co-pay and/or deductible is required at each visit. Hendrick Health System offers payment arrangements. A family member or significant other may attend each appointment at no additional charge.
