American Diabetes Association Recognized Program

The ADA (ADA) promotes quality education for people with diabetes. The Association endorses National Standards for Diabetes Self-Management Education Programs. Education and training are conducted in a small group setting with you and a family member. Most insurance and Medicare will cover recognized programs. Financial assistance is available.

A physician’s order is required for program attendance and to bill your insurance. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to determine if these classes are covered. Hendrick Medical Center offers payment arrangements. A family member or significant other may attend each appointment at no additional charge.
