Admission Requirements:
All applicants must conform to Cisco College admission policies.
All applicants must be 18 years of age and conform to the following admission policies. Below are the current admission requirements for 2010.
A. STUDENTS WITH 1 – 29 TRANSFERABLE COLLEGE SEMESTER HOURS:
Applicants with 1 – 29 transferable hours at the time of application must meet the following requirements:
1. Submit official transcripts from each college or university attended. An overall grade point average of 2.25 is required for admissions. You must be eligible to return to all previous institutions regardless of GPA or degree received.
2. Submit an official high school transcript.
- Take the THEA, ACCUPLACER, ASSETT, OR COMPASS and turn in the scores. If you are exempt from taking the THEA, bring or send the documentation with scores to prove your exemption.
- TAKS: 2200 in E/LA with a 3 on your essay and 2200 on Math
- ACT: composite of 23 with at least 19 on verbal and math
- SAT: composite of 1070 with at least 500 on both verbal and math
- Prior military services (separated Military since 1990)
- Active Military service
B. STUDENTS WITH 30 OR MORE TRANSFEREABLE COLLEGE SEMESTER HOURS: Applicants with 30 or more transferable semester hours
at the time of application must meet the following requirements.
1. Submit official transcripts from each college or university attended. An overall grade point average of 2.25 is required for admission. You must be eligible to return to all previous institutions regardless of GPA or degree received.
2. Submit an official high school transcript.
C. All THEA developmental classes must be taken as prerequisites for the Respiratory Care Program along with:
MATH 1314 College Algebra or
MATH 1342 Elementary Statistics
D. Only the admission’s criteria listed are evaluated and considered for the purpose of selecting and admitting applicants to this program. No specific minimum grade point average or test score, or a set minimum number of courses must be completed for admission. Selection is based on how each applicant compares with others in the applicant pool. In general, the higher the grades, the more competitive the applicant will for the positions available.
E. Pre-Requisite (Must be taken prior to applying to the program):
Math 1314 College Algebra OR
Math 1342 Elementary Statistics
