Length of Program: Two years plus two summer sessions beginning in August
Classes:

Monday through Friday
All calsses are presented at CJC Abilene Education Center and Hendrick Medical Center. Clinical rotations will be assigned at various area healthcare facilities.

Graduation: Upon completion of the program:
  1. Completion of all classes Cisco Junior College will award an Asosicate in Applied Science Degree.
 

2. Upon successfully completing all requirements of the A.A.S. respiratory program, you are eligible to take the National Board of Respiratory Care Credential examinations. Upon successfully passing the exams, you will be reward the credential, C.R.T., denoting a Certified Respiratory Therapist and R.R.T., denoting a Registered Respiratory Therapist. These credentials allow you to change your temporary Respiratory Care Pracitioner (RCP) permit to a regular RCP, which is necessary in order to practice in Texas.
