QUEST: High Performing Hospitals
Hendrick Medical Center is among 200 leading hospitals named as a top performer in the second year of the nationwide performance improvement collaborative of Premier QUEST: High Performing Hospitals program. The comprehensive, collaborative program aims to improve quality and safety of patient care while safely reducing healthcare costs.
The QUEST program measures focus on quality, efficiency and safety, with transparency. Participation in the QUEST initiative allows Hendrick the unique ability to provide input on developing the criteria for each of the five measures, guiding how performance is evaluated for future public reporting and reimbursement. Participating hospitals will share best practices and results to help hospitals find ways to deliver the highest quality patient care at the lowest costs.
Based on second-year results from the project, Hendrick Medical Center achieved top performance in safely reducing the cost of care for each patient’s hospitalization, saving lives by eliminating avoidable hospital mortalities and delivering the most reliable and effective care- striving to provide recommended evidence-based care measure to every patient every time.
