Currently accepting applications for classes beginning July 2008 and January 2009.

Our history
The school began enrolling students in 1953, and consisted of on-the-job training for one year with little or no didactic work involved. The program now is 24 months and includes more than 450 hours of didactic instruction and more than 2,000 hours of clinical experience. Classes begin in July and January; however selection for both classes is made once a year. Class size is small; not all applicants can be admitted.

Accreditation
Hendrick Medical Center School of Radiography is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology, JRCERT 20 North Wacker Drive, Suite 900, Chicago, IL, 60606-2901 (312) 704-5300

Program Goals

  • The program will meet or exceed requirements to maintain Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology accreditation.
  • Graduates of the program will be able to obtain American Registry of Technologists
    (ARRT) Registration.
  • Graduates will demonstrate competence in both didactic and clinical performance in
    diagnostic imaging procedures.
  • Graduates will communicate effectively and function as a team member in the medical
    environment.
  • The majority of students who begin the program will obtain successful completion.
  • The majority of graduates will find work in the field of radiography.
  • The program will maintain an ongoing system of evaluation to assure attainment of
    JRCERT objectives and program goals.
