Conference Center Coordination
There are more than
a dozen rooms available for business seminars, luncheons or conferences,
including the Auxiliary Conference Center. Rooms can be reserved on an
hourly or full-day availability. Available services include a professional
coordinator, room set-up and clean-up, linen service, coordinate flower
arrangements, table or room decorations, state-of-the-art audio/visual
equipment including video/teleconferences, full catering service and convenient
parking. Available rooms are located on the campus of Hendrick Medical Center, 1900 Pine St. and the Shelton Building, 2000 Pine St. in Abilene, Texas. Fore more information for reservations, please contact Kim French, conference coordinator at 325-670-3401.
FirstChoice Membership Club
FirstChoice Membership Club is a customer service program designed to promote
a healthy lifestyle for its members. The annual fee for FirstChoice membership is $25. FirstChoice members receive numerous discounted and free benefits. These benefits
are activated each year membership is renewed. A FirstChoice representative may be contacted
at 325.670.2500 for personal membership assistance.
FirstChoice is available to anyone as part of Hendrick's
continuing efforts to provide comprehensive and innovative healthcare.
Dependents
under age 18, also covered by insurance, are included in the sponsor's

Certified lactation consultants are part of our commitment to provide excellent service for women and children. Consultants help get new families off to a great start through Women's Health Services. Consultations are available by appointment. Consultants are also available for phone or e-mail inquiries. We would love to hear from you!

Patient Relations
The Patient Relations
Department at Hendrick provides patient representatives who serve as
facilitators in meeting the needs of patients, families and visitors.
These patient representatives visit each newly admitted patient to inform
them of services available through Patient Relations. Questions, concerns,
compliments and special needs can be directed to Patient
Relations 325.670.2915, 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday.
On evenings and weekends, the charge nurse or the house supervisor is
available for consultation and assistance.
Patient satisfaction
surveys are mailed to each patient requesting opinions and comments
regarding the care and service received during their hospital stay.
Each returned survey with significant concerns will be brought to the
attention of the appropriate department director and/or vice president.
Physician Relations and
Recruitment
The Physician Relations
and Recruitment Department serves as a liaison for the physician, their
office staff and Hendrick Medical Center. This department provides updated
information to the physician and their office staff related to practice
management.
Physician recruitment
is provided for Hendrick via the Physician Recruitment Committee. Designated
specialties that are to be recruited are identified by the Physician
Recruitment Committee.

Team Hendrick Sports
Team Hendrick Sports
is the Sports Medicine Program of Hendrick
Center for Rehabilitation and the Hendrick Medical Center. We are
located in Hendrick Center for Rehabilitation, a state-of-the-art rehabilitation
facility. Our staff consists of Physical Therapists, Athletic Trainers
and Technicians, all of whom are trained and experienced in the prevention,
treatment and rehabilitation of the active individual. Various educational
opportunities and community services are provided through Team Hendrick
Sports. Our goal is to provide the active individuals of our area with
comprehensive and professional Sports Medicine services. In order to
meet this goal, we are able to coordinate with various other service
providers in the Hendrick network.
Volunteer Services
The Volunteer Services
Department provides volunteers throughout the medical center to assist
hospital staff in performance of non-medical duties in an attempt to
improve quality of service rendered to patients and customers.
The volunteers
staff areas such as information desks, the gift shop, the outpatient
surgical area, admission, the critical care waiting area and mail delivery
service. The Junior Volunteer program is administered through this office
to stimulate young peoples' I interest in health careers and to encourage
growth and development of interpersonal relationships.
